Looking ahead to a possible presidential bid in 2016, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is playing up his foreign policy credentials. Rubio, a member of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, came out swinging at President Barack Obama and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday in an op-ed published in the Washington Post.

Former Gov. Jeb Bush’s 2016 presidential prospects got a boost this week as a new poll shows him leading the pack of Republican presidential hopefuls in a key primary state. A Palmetto Poll released this week shows Bush rolling in South Carolina which traditionally holds its primary after Iowa and New Hampshire have their say.

It probably pained Peter Schorsch to say it, but his observation in a Sunday blog about why Rick Scott has overtaken Charlie Crist in the latest polls is so direct, so simple, so spot-on it's like the SaintPetersBlog guru threw a can of paint in my face.
