One of the oddest mysteries of last week is what happened to media coverage of the progress on Everglades restoration. Long Senate and House committee meetings Thursday were devoted to it.
Just when you think Florida environmentalists can't get any further out in left field, they go and drop back against the wall. I'm talking about their latest plan to budget their causes by ballot initiative.
Gov. Rick Scott toured the state Department of Environmental Protection offices Friday and emerged with a book on Florida parks and a vow not to close any of them.
