Looking ahead to a possible presidential bid in 2016, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is playing up his foreign policy credentials. Rubio, a member of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, came out swinging at President Barack Obama and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday in an op-ed published in the Washington Post.

Surrogates are increasingly playing prominent roles in the Florida gubernatorial contest. Looking to win members of his new party over to him, former Gov. Charlie Crist had former state Sen. Dan Gelber out front this week, hitting Gov. Rick Scott for cutting education. The Crist team sent out an email from Gelber to supporters on Wednesday trying to rally Democrats against Scott on education.
