As we near the anniversary of the verdict that set free George Zimmerman -- the man who stalked, shot, and killed Trayvon Martin -- race again comes into play here in Florida.
Washington, they say, is Hollywood for ugly people. I don't know about that, but certainly 2013 in the nation's capital hit new peaks for bipartisan buffoonery and uselessness.

The central criticism of the George Zimmerman trial is that there was one. It was simply impossible to convict him of anything beyond a reasonable doubt.
