Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee continues to ramp up his operations in Florida. Huckabee, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and is considering making another attempt in 2012, filed papers for his HuckPAC to work at the state and local level here in the Sunshine State. Huckabee, who moved to Florida from Arkansas, named Frank Tsamotales, a lobbyist and fund-raiser, to head up HuckPAC’s operations in the state ...

It appears that Floridians will vote in November on competing ballot initiatives on redistricting -- and Democrats are divided on which option is better.

More than 1.7 million Floridians signed petitions calling for changes to the ways the Legislature draws up congressional and state legislative seats.

While the number of Medicaid enrollees and their costs continue to grow, the House passed an attempt to reform the program Monday after a week of bipartisan work to amend the bill. The House passed Medicaid reform 80-34.
