Election 2012 has had few surprises. So it's somewhat surprising that heading into the final weekend of the election season, we are unable to confidently project who is likely to win the White House.
President Barack Obama's deputy press secretary, Josh Earnest, said over the weekend the following when referencing Congress in 2012: “The president is no longer tied to Washington.”

With three weeks to go until the election, and a poll released Monday showing the gubernatorial contestants neck and neck, both Democratic candidate Alex Sink and Republican rival Rick Scott went on the warpath, unleashing new attacks on each other.
The latest Rasmussen polling shows Florida's gubernatorial race as a "tossup," with Democrat Alex Sink leading in one heat and Republican Rick Scott winning another.
