As a longtime fan and admirer of Rush Limbaugh, I was disappointed to hear his comments regarding the work of the Congressional Redistricting Subcommittee on which I am honored to serve.
"Like a fire bell in the night," wrote Thomas Jefferson in 1820, "this momentous question ... awakened and filled me with terror. I considered it at once as the knell of the Union."

With less than three weeks to go until the election to replace him in the U.S. Senate, Republican George LeMieux continued to weigh in on the issues as speculation continued to grow that he intends to launch a campaign to return to Washington in 2012 by challenging Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson.
As part of his outreach for contributions and counsel as an independent U.S. Senate candidate, Gov. Charlie Crist recently had a tete-a-tete with New York billionaire Tom Golisano.
