We knew this was coming. In fact, in the first year of the Obama administration, I focused on this very issue. Now it has risen to the level of potential reality.
This week the House of Representatives and the Senate spent all week trying to wrap up a new 3.0 debt deal and pass it along to the president before the end of the day on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

With Republicans routing Democrats across the country on Election Day, speculation has been building throughout November that President Barack Obama will face a challenge for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2012.
