WASHINGTON -- A few millennia from now, when archaeologists from an ascendant Brazil or Turkey or wherever sift the shards of American civilization and find the ruins of the Big House in Ann Arbor, Mich., they will wonder why a 109,901-seat entertainment venue was attached to an institution of higher education.

THE CAPITOL, TALLAHASSEE, March 30, 2010..... Despite initial projections that the university system could take major hits in next year's budget, university officials are relatively happy to see that they will likely see a budget between $3.41 billion and $3.5 billion, about on par with last year's.

In Florida this week, the Senate passed Senator Don Gaetz's jobs bill. A good bill we should all support. It has a significant price tag so it will not be easy.
