What's the fair way to run a large organization? That's a question that is squarely, and interestingly, raised by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's dissenting opinion in Wal-Mart v. Dukes, a Supreme Court case decided last week.

Virtually all of Florida's largest business organizations are lobbying the Florida Legislature this session to make customers of online retailers pay a sales tax, same as Main Street's bricks-and-mortar customers do.

If the Florida Legislature wants to pound another nail in the coffin of the middle class during this long recession, it can go ahead with the ill-conceived idea of eliminating tax-free Internet shopping.
