How can we continue to deprive the sick and/or injured from a proven medicine and cure for so many ills? Our representatives really need to get moving on this.
For me, this falls under crimes against humanity.

Absolutely. I was a caregiver of my son's 25 year old best friend who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. He consistently had very painful migraines. The doctor's put him on oxycodone for which he didn't want to take after feeling like he was out of it all of the time, so we tried Excedrin Migraine which helped him with the pain, but then we found out from the doctors that Excedrin is not to be taken on a regular basis because it damages the liver. Believe it or not, this 25 year old had tried smoking marijuana when he was younger but didn't like it, but since he was looking for an alternative for relief of migraines, he decided to try medical marijuana which not only helped his pain but his mood as well. I cannot believe that Florida being the pill mill of the nation with so many young people addicted to pills yet that is socially acceptable and legal is so reluctant to legalizing medical marijuana and recreational use of marijuana as well. I am a registered republican but if the republicans don't get on the boat of support for the marijuana issue, they will lose my vote as well as many others as well as I know that the social circle that I am in with many other business owners, we all support legalizing marijuana all together especially medical marijuana. There are much more dangerous drugs out there and this is a great opportunity for tax revenue.

MARIJUANA HELPS THE HOPELESS ! We shouldn't give our loved one medicine that would risk them to be unable to wake up we want our loved ones here n healthy with cannabis it can happen !! Saved the ones desperate the sooner the better !

Also recreational wouldn't be bad either !!

I know Charlottes Webb medication made from cannabis will save the lives of my three children just as i knew in 1975 that a non FDA apprived product would save them from an early death predicted by NIH @ the time. We fought for the med illegally and finally legally on a bill which got testing nationally saved my kids with the use of the new med now called DEPAKOTE We now need the new Charlotte web Med to save the three children i still care for daily. Florida has been a savior in many ways to help keep James, Patrick, and Laurie alive for the past 38 yrs but it will all be in vain if they die because they cannot be treated by there neurologist with this specially compounded Med called Charlottes webb made from cannabis !! This is not about getting silly and high this is about holding back life saving therapys. As the great actor BRANDO once said to a group pf mobsters i say to a group in Tallahassee WISE UP , do the right thing!! You will be repaid immensely.. A desparate Farther..

I am a veteran myself, I served our great united states for seven years. I was on thirteen different medications for my pain, depression, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, and PTSD Hyper vigilance, . I have been a veteran since 17oct2012. Since being out of the army I don't have to take any medications because marijuana does it all for me, and without it I wouldn't be the father and husband I am. I Don't hide in my room, Im not a prisoner in my own home now. I can go out and be a productive member of society. Mr. John Morgan has it all correct. Help us who suffer!
I VOTE YES!
YOU SHOULD ASWELL!
Thank you -Keith

Absolutely yes, yes, yes!!!! I have seen and experienced first hand the wonderful benefits of marijuana. If it was taxed and treated like alcohol and cigarettes, the revenue that would be generated for Florida would be tremendous.
What kills me the most about marijuana, whether for medicinal or recreational uses, is the fact that there is NO RECORDED CASE OF OVER DOSE OR DEATH!!!!!!!!!! Yet there are countless deaths EVERY SINGLE DAY that are directly associated with ALCOHOL and CIGARETTES!!! Does this make sense to anybody? How does the government, the ones who are supposed to "care about us" and do whats "best for us" let drugs like alcohol and cigarettes to remain legal even though hundreds of thousands of lives are lost every single year? Yet the one "drug" that has 0 recorded deaths and has even recently been PROVEN to reduce symptoms and even cure some people, is illegal, is treated as if anyone who uses it dies and anyone found with it is put away like a hard criminal?

Did you know murderers have been let back on the streets after trials but marijuana law breakers are put away for years? MURDERERS!!! (do i need to bring up Anthony and Zimmerman?)
Yea, we live in a great place. Money and social status dictate what we as tax paying citizens, live OUR lives. Change needs to happen, and quick. and i mean real change, not "obama change".

Physicians should be enable to practice medicine. Cannibus is a naturally occurring plant as well as medical investigations indicate it has beneficial uses. Of course, this has a social implication... However, it is a common-sense argument.

Regardless of your stand on cannibus, the decision for a physician to make clinical decisions should be in the caregiver's hands. Furthermore, regulation of the decisions should be made by people understanding the positive (and negative) impact of the medication.

As a citizen, we have the right to vote. We can encourage the political community to act appropriately. More importantly, to take the necessary actions that benefit the citizens (their constituents).

Enable the medical community, with its resources, to act responsibly regarding the treatment of its patients...

I have lupus and have a lot of pain, muscle spasms, and nausea. I am also an RN, and work in a psych ward where we get patiet's who come in hallucinating from smoking synthetic marihuana and some of them never come back, and can't even put a sentence together, some end up in nursing homes in their 20's

I don't understand whether your statement is a yes vote or not? Medical marijuana is a completely different animal than synthetic! You really cant reproduce mother nature when it comes to marijuana. Synthetic marijuana isn't real its actually potpourri its for scent, Not for ingestion. Synthetic is and always should be illegal! It even said not for ingestion of any kind. Are you for medical marijuana?

Beats drinking, beats pills, beats stress, keeps you sane, cool, calm and collected....work is work, our children must be respected, and us adults should be allowed to enjoy as long as it's within limitations just like alcohol...strict -enforced- under age smoking laws more so...etc...I am stressed, sad and depressed...waiting makes it worse...I am an outlaw,,,that alone stresses me. Please legalize at least for the medically needy...

It's unbelievable to me the bill will not be heard because they House Speaker Will Weatherford, who fears that controversy generated by the measure would hurt Republicans' electoral prospects. Shame on you Will, putting your party concerns over peoples freedom. Wake up !!!! It's a freedom of choice issue. Guess what, this type of discussion will only hurt your chances of being re-elected.

YES...

Its the sensible, natural thing to do, in a time of stress, economic tension, wars and violence everywhere.

a calm non-violent society is more in order and more clear to manage and be better "controlled".

who will be the hero..... that gets our vote?

should be 2 votes...1 for medical patients who need it.
1 for entire state at voting booths.

the law of universal-nature.....always ends up being right.

We need to vote on this and get it legalized so people with medical problems that could benefit from using this pure herb rather than taking pills with a bunch of additives that will kill you later. The time to act is now, why drag our feet. People are suffering for no reason and being criminals just because they seek relief.

I believe that after 18 states legalizing the use of medical marijuana and seeing very positive responses in the economy and in the health of the people being prescribed correctly it would be a very good move for Florida's economy and healthcare.

I have been in my friends car when he totaled 2 cars with me.
My back hurts tremendously and sometimes its unbarable. I could
Go to doctor for my back but I do not like the fact that they give you
Painkillers. I have seen what painkillers do to people who get
Addto them. You become a horrible person, it turns you to a monster!
so I rather take this unbarable pain instead of taking one of those
Painkillers. But marijuana does not do that to you and it helps me
So much and its nonaddicted. I can actually work most days to support
Me an my family. I would vote YES. Please help us people who need

i would vote yes due to the fact that i know it may not work on everyone and some may be alergic to it but still if the presidents can do it back in the day and it can help cure people then do it for the people who are suffering the most. some people cant take pills to fix their lives some have to do that but run the risk of getting put in jail.

I feel marijuana should be legalized for medicinal use and eventually for recreational use. It's legalization could help the economy and allow the police to concentrate on more pressing matters.

Why are WE THE PEOPLE, not being heard ?? Legalization of Mriijuana for those with a medical need should not even be a question. While the pharmacutical companies are seeing record profits on chemical compounds known to have side effects as detrimental as death those that could find relief in a plant that could be grown in thier own home are Denied by our Government WHY. It must be all about the money just as most things in this day and time.
Clearly our Local, State and Federal Government have the ability to put the profits available into thier own coffers as a posed to those who create violence and terror. The baby boomers are rapidly becoming the senior population, are familiar with Marijuana and I believe, if given a choice would much rather control the pains they are likely to experience in the near future. With a plant than spending thier life savings on chemical pharmacutical. Please help legalize marijuana!!!

Hello, I am a new Florida resident I just moved here awhile ago and where I'm from marijuana is the best thing out there. It's not just a drug, it's a beautiful flower. It can prevent cancer, it helps with Lou Gehrig's disease, Schizophrenia, and other harmful diseases like arthritis and so forth. I know the government think it is a bad plant but old test were shown that the test they used to see if marijuana was bad for you was to give a monkey 30 joints a day for 90 days but what they didn't tell you is that they pumped the monkeys full of marijuana smoke for 5 minutes without any additional oxygen, which was the cause of the brain cells to die. Not the plant itself. It has no addiction factors what so ever nothin close to Heroin, cigarettes, coke an those other high drugs. Less addictive and dangerous then coffee and most the people drink Dunkin' Donuts coffee everyday. Doesn't mean we should make coffee shops Illegal does it? And the gate way theory, that's a load of rubbish I'm never in the middle of a joint or bong pack and stop to think to myself I'm going to do some myth! No. That doesn't happen I want a bag of chips and a soda not meth and coke and all of that man made junk, unlike marijuana which is 100% natural that has nothing chemically added to it what so ever. Making it illegal is just like saying nature messed up. (Which it can't) do wt do you say U.S.A. Want to legalize pot today?
