Former Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum on Monday endorsed Craig Miller's bid for the 6th Congressional District.
McCollum, a former Republican congressman from Central Florida, said in a statement:
"While we have several good conservative candidates that have come forward to run in the new coastal congressional district, only Craig Miller has the depth of experiences to best address the most pressing issues of the day.
“Whether it is unemployment, the economy or pushing back on the radical Obama agenda, Craig has the unique blend of life experiences to best represent the citizens of Florida’s 6th Congressional District."
Miller, a restaurant industry executive and a veteran, said he was "truly honored" to win McCollum's backing.
“As attorney general, he led a coalition of states in challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare. I’d say preserving freedom and initiating one of the most important Supreme Court decisions in a generation is a heck of a legacy,” Miller said.
