Flags to be lowered for Jupiter Officer Killed in Obama’s Motorcade

Gov. Rick Scott has ordered state and national flags lowered to half-staff Friday outside the Palm Beach County Courthouse and Jupiter Municipal Complex for Jupiter Police Officer Bruce St. Laurent who was killed while riding as part of President Obama’s motorcade on Sunday.

St. Laurent, 55, was a 20-year member of the department who was known for dedicating his service to the town, including playing Santa Claus at Christmas and riding his police motorcycle to the Jupiter Head Start.
