Hillary Clinton Is Not The Second Coming Of Harriet Tubman

January 23, 2016 - 3:00pm

What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, right?

How many times are black people going to place their eggs in a Clinton basket and expect something different?

Other than play the saxophone and have an office in Harlem, why do we love Bill, and other than being married to Bill, why do we love Hillary?

As much as we all loved to call Bill Clinton the “First Black President,” my good friend, prominent Tallahassee attorney Chuck Hobbs broke it down rather well when he wrote this:

“Don’t get me wrong, I respected some aspects of Clinton’s presidency, but his legacy with respect to race included not only advocating causes that gutted high-paying blue collar jobs in the Midwest (NAFTA) and others that imprisoned more black men than ever. He and his wife also joined in lock step with Newt Gingrich in promulgating “welfare reform” that made black mothers who were already catching hell to raise their kids catch even more hell.”

You can read Chuck Hobbs’ article in its entirety here

During Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary race against Barack Obama, her true colors, as well as Bill’s, started to show. They are all for black people as long as we are asking how high when they say jump.

When the issue came up of Florida and Michigan breaking the rules and being punished for it, Hillary Clinton kept quiet. She allowed her surrogates to advocate for cheating. Even Donna Brazile famously said that when you want to change the rules in the middle of the game, it’s called cheating. Hillary Clinton wanted to win at all costs, and she didn’t care who she had to roll over to do it. Even her supporters got downright rabid. Remember Harriet Christian and her “inadequate black man” rant

There are still those who say Hillary and her camp were the source of the Jeremiah Wright scandal. She wanted to damage Obama however she could.

They say Hillary and her camp helped fuel the birth certificate issue, even though she knew it was a non-issue, she wanted to damage Obama anyway she could.

The infamous 3 a.m. ad she ran was a thinly veiled racist swipe at Obama, because while your little white children are sleeping, this black man couldn’t possibly protect them.

Bill Clinton, who hilariously enough was jealous that Obama was going to be the REAL first black president, tried to demean him as only a black candidate in South Carolina and tried to brush him off as nothing.

When Bill Clinton thought Rep. James Clyburn was “pulling strings” behind the scenes in South Carolina, where Hillary Clinton lost to Obama, he said to Clyburn, “If you bastards want a fight, you damn well will get one”.

Don’t believe me, hear it from Clyburn’s own lips here.

Black people need to realize when they are appreciated, and when they are being used.

If Hillary Clinton wasn’t whipping/nae-naeing, dabbing, and whatnot before, why do it now?

Hillary knows that what is saving her butt now is the African-American community.

The only reason THAT is the case is because her NAME is familiar. I want her GAME to be familiar as well. It isn’t as fun as y’all think it is.

We talk about how our African-American men are disproportionately behind bars, and here Hillary Clinton is, taking large sums of money from the private prison industry.

She talks a lot about her advocacy for children -- black children, Latino children, etc., but at the same time, she supports policies that send the parents of those children to jail.

Harriet Tubman, civil rights activist, 1822-1913

I guess that makes the private prison industry folks who line her pockets happy, right?

What irks me most of all are the endorsements of the families of Trayvon Martin, Jordan Davis, and Eric Garner. These families have become OUR families in a way. Clinton knows that. I feel she is using that to get our votes via our empathy and sympathy for those families and the tragedies they suffered.

What is Hillary going to do next? Find the family of Emmett Till and send out an endorsement letter from them? I think if it were not for the fact that Sandra Bland’s family KNOWS the sincerity of Bernie Sanders -- he did what he did with them outside the public eye -- Hillary Clinton would have tried to get HER family to send out an endorsement letter.

I would imagine if Bernie Sanders asked that family to endorse him, they would. But it appears as though he is above using tragedy for personal gain.

Not Hillary Clinton.

The Latino community had it right when they told her that she was not their abuela.

Black folks, she ain’t your Madea, Harriet Tubman, Sista Souljah, Ride-or-die, or none of that.

I’m beginning to think she isn’t even your friend.

I greatly commend her for having the courage to break out of the mold and play a small part in, hopefully, starting a national dialogue that could end with the second emancipation of the black American from our slavery by the democrat party ao we can finish the job that was started in 1863.

You see, we have a duty to represent all enslaved black people all over the United States. I mean, as a people, we have fought and killed each other for the right to stay enslaved by our democrat masters in our democrat chocolate cities surrounded by our democrat vanilla suburbs. What they tell us to think, who they tell us to hate goes. I want to be a good black and not upset my democrat Progressive masters. I'm old-school ya'll. I know who my master is, and my master loves him a good slave! He know he don't need to keep me in chains cause he done enslaved my mind! Leslie, who told you, you was free?!?! Leslie, gurl, you better get with the "programming." My master don't like no uppity black thinking for him/herself! That's why democrats keep us in their democrat unionized, high paid public teacher, badly run public schools! Leslie, come into my hood and the democrat KKK won't be wearing white sheets, cause the democrats now use homeboys in hoodies! My black people are much more effective then the democrat KKK ever was. And, our democrat master is as happy as the hell he keep us living in. This is why I vote a straight democrat ticket! The democrat party of the neo-slavery movement! Oops, did I say straight! My Progressive democrat master told me to stop using that word!

I've often said that if the voting public really knew the depth of Clinton's depravity, the voting public would not even consider the Clintons as viable candidates. The Clintons are pure evil and they are dangerous to America.

"your" black men are only disproportionately in prison when compared to population percentage, but not compared to the number of crimes they commit and get convicted of......the majority of the crimes against other blacks.

Wasn't Harriet Tubman a Republican?

Probably, although she wasn't allowed to vote thanks to the long history of Democrats denying women the vote. Martin Luther King was a Republican, too.

Lincoln was.

Well, Hillary is certainly not Harriet Tubman. Nothing close. Tubman worked to benefit black Americans; The Clintons can and have sold US intelligence to foreign interests to enrich themselves. Imprisonment for both of them would be richly deserved.

There's a lot of wisdom on this page.

The Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican during a time when Democrats were blocking entry to schools to blacks, enacting segregation and Jim Crow legislation, beating blacks in the streets of Selma and terrorizing and murdering blacks through the Ku Klux Klan. Democrats have NEVER apologized for any of this. Hillary Clinton is a Democrat. Why would any black person want to be a Democrat or have Democrats in charge of anything?

By God, I am convinced that Donald J . Trump will not sell us black folks down the river. He is neither Jim Crow nor Republican "pass the buck " liars. He is not a plantation mentality Democrat , nor a welfare pusher. He IS someone who tell it like it is and acts with conviction and no apology. God Bless and protect America.

I have the same feeling. He blusters a lot and says outrageous things to get attention, but I do think he loves the country and everyone it it. He genuinely wants to see everyone do better.

It is too bad that y'all have not yet figured out the democrat party isn't going to do you ANY lasting good. Trump will, he brings opportunity to everyone. Regardless of race or skin color. Because we are ALL Americans first.

Blacks have given Democrats their votes since 1964. They (Democrats) have come to take it for granted, and don't really do anything to earn the vote. The path to prosperity is not trying to get more handouts (welfare plantation), but more freedom and opportunity. Let's look for candidates that will deliver on freedom and opportunity, and not just blindly vote D.

I was raised in Mississippi and I am now an old man. When I was sixteen I got into an argument with my grandmother (whom I dearly loved) about how the white man had screwed the black people. I don't know how I became so convinced at that age that black people were being treated poorly and lied to. Maybe because in Walls, Mississippi, where I grew up my play mates were not my color and it didn't really matter to me. We use to have baseball games that went on all afternoon. It was great and generally I was the only white person playing. Good times! My heart and my prayers still go out for them. They have been lied to and mislead for generations and their potential greatness has been kept from them. My prayer is that we get past those who use racism for their own gain and start caring about giving them the freedom to be exceptional in their own right. I really believe all men are created equal, but they must all be given equal freedom to achieve what God intended for them to be. We as a nation have not done that. It is disgusting that many white people have kept them down to gain political power. As a 71 year old white man I apologize for what the white race has done to you. I conclude by saying it is very divisive to say "Black Lives Matter" which they do, but not more so than all lives matter. No one in the eyes of God are any more important than the next person.

Has the Clinton foundations with hundreds of millions of dollars use one cent in the black communities in America?

Everything in this column is true. Most of all, the African-American community has a once-in-a-lifetime chance to singlehandedly determine the Democratic nominee. Hillary is rapidly losing the support of everyone else, for all the reasons in this column -- you are just about all she has left. I would just ask you to do some looking -- find out why people from all groups, all ages, and all walks of life are joining Bernie Sanders. Find out why her leads vanish wherever he campaigns. When he comes to campaign in Florida, go check him out, but more importantly, go see the enthusiasm , inspiration, and hopefulness he generates. It's real, and it's coming your way.

If you put together a list of the top million things that made America great, socialism wouldn't make the list. Socialism hurts the poor and the middle class everywhere - everywhere - it's ever been tried. The only equality that really matters is equal opportunity - make your own success. Vote for liberty, capitalism, and Trump. Or Cruz. Or Paul, or Fiorina. But leftist free goodies haven't worked.

I really do wish more people would open their eyes and minds and see the whole clinton gang for what they really are.... race baiting mysoginist corrput career back stabbing politicos. The millions of dollars the clintons have amassed in the "clinton fraud foundation". This pile of filthy lucre to buy her influence.... alot based on US go't intel she so gladly shared for the money. Anyone else would have been charged and excoriated already. But somehow the 'establishment' is giving her a pass and running interference against the FBI. Our current pres wants so bad to make his legacy of disunification stick he appears willing to let such racist high stepping charlatans get a pas on crimes for his selfish desires. Under Obama this country has hardly ever been so racially divided and pandered too. The dem party really comes across as the biggest sellout to us americans ... the influence they have sold to forgein interests at the cost of american integrity and american economy , the filthy lucre they have stolen from public coffers. It's telling when the TRUE establisment types of even the opposition want her as they can't buy the candidates whom really oppose them.

Why are blacks for democratic candindates at all? Look at cities that have been run by democrats for decades, e.g. Detroit, Baltimore. All of them have failing school systems, all have high crime rates. Democrats oppose school choice so blac parents can't get their kids of bad schools. Under Reagan the number of black owned businesses increased a lot more than under Obama. Democrats like to release criminals early, and plea bargin charges down to time served. But doesn't this just put more crimnals back on the streets? Doesn't this just mean that blacks are forced to live in crime ridden neighborhoods? Black on black crime rates are the highest crime rates in the country. Why do blacks support democrats that have policies that sustain such rates?

Excellent points - which Hillary, Bernie, and this writer ALL ignore .

Aye, she's not even a ham and cheese sandwich with pickles! She f***ing ain't nothin!

Now, now, Ms. Wimes. Calm down. We all know good and well that you are going to vote for HRC! Thanks for your support!

Black-Entitlement-Socialism, Pay-For-Skin-Racism. Ugly as Hillary, desperate as obamunism. MLK would never go there. As long as race merchants demand an extortion check for their color and demean themselves as government pets, they will will reap the hate they sow, even more than the indiscriminate pain they visit on whites, cops and business.

Hillary Clinton has conducted a 30 year war against the women who were sexually assaulted by her pedophile island hopping, woman abusing husband. She stood over the flag draped coffins of 4 Americans killed in Benghazi, and proceeded to lie to the faces of their grieving families, when she knew on day one that they were killed in a terrorist attack. She was instrumental in the sale of 20% of US uranium deposits to the Russians, and then watched as Putin took the Ukraine. So much for that reset button. She has continually lied about classified emails on her private server, which to date has publicly shown that 1,340 classified, top secret, and SAP emails were found. She does have some notable accomplishments though, like pulling mythical shrapnel out of her behind, wiping her server with a cloth, and my favorite, created a SnapChat account. The only thing this woman should be running is the mail cart between cells at Ft. Leavenworth.

Extremely well said! Thank you.

"mail runs between cells" Or just the runs between a stained mattress and a bucket in a mildewed concrete isolation cell where only 24-7 looped audio of her life of lies enters and screeching shrieks of agony exit a high barred window where buzzards wait her carcass.
